According to Rikki Doolan, Uebert Angel’s personal assistant, the Al Jazeera documentary “Gold Mafia” has been edited in a way that presents a misleading account.
The documentary accuses Doolan of being part of a criminal group that is allegedly involved in gold smuggling and money laundering worth billions of dollars in Southern Africa.
Doolan, who is also a pastor in Angel’s Good News Church and a musician, was recorded by Al Jazeera’s undercover reporters suggesting that he and Angel could arrange a meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Additionally, he mentioned that money laundering would not be an issue as long as you offer a bribe.
However, Doolan has denied any involvement in gold dealing or criminal activities. He claims that the documentary is not a truthful representation of the facts and has been severely edited to create a false narrative.
