HARARE: It has emerged that MDC Alliance chief Mr Nelson Chamisa has shut the door on former president Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace’s overtures for the trio to work together- as the former first family frantically attempts to derail President Mnangagwa’s election bid in next month’s watershed polls.
It was reported by various newspapers fe weeks ago that Mugabe has been sending messengers to broker a deal with Nelson Chamisa.
The talks reportedly hit a brick wall after Mugabe’s NPF split when its founding president Ambrose Mutinhiri was fired before he also fired some senior members insisting he was still the head of NPF.
Mutinhiri will contest against Chamisa and other aspiring presidential candidates in the crucial 2018 elections.
