Latest Update: Evan Mawarire returns, Mugabe CIOs panic, arrest Zim flag pastor

ThisFlag Zimbabwe Pastor Evan Mawarire surprisingly jetted into Harare today and was immediately arrested by members of the dreaded Central Intelligence Agency, CIO.
His lawyer  Harrison Nkomo confirmed the cleric has been arrested by state security agents at the Harare International airport and taken into custody.

“Its true he arrived at the airport and was immediately arrested. I have not been able to see him though and I am still trying,” Nkomo said today.

Mawarire became an instant household name in Zimbabwe politics last year when he teamed up with Tajamuka activists and staged protests and demonstrations that brought the country to a standstill.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that a number of protests are due to take place in the country soon as citizens struggle to survive harsh economic conditions prevailing since the end of unity government.

Mawarire fled Zimbabwe to United states of America sometime last year after he felt that his life was in danger.
