The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has advised the public and the media in particular that the consolidated Easter and Independence road traffic accident statistics will be released today.
The police is currently finalising the consolidated statistics before issuing the data.
“The ZRP advises the public and the media in particular that the consolidated Easter and Independence road traffic accident statistics will be released tomorrow. The Police is currently finalising the consolidated statistics,” says ZRP.
Meanwhile, in Zimbabwe Easter holidays are synonymous with road accidents across the country, the trend has been going for ages.
In most cases human error has been the major cause of road accidents.
Apparently, ZRP has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident which occurred at the 40km peg along Makuti-Kariba Rd, on 18/04/22 at 2145 hours where four people died while 32 others were injured after a ZEDTC Nissan UD70 truck in which they were travelling in, went off the road and crashed.
The police names of victims will be announced in due course.
