ZRP boss Matanga petitioned over use of spikes on moving vehicles

The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum has written to Police Commissioner-General Godwin Matanga demanding an end to throwing of spikes on moving vehicles and save lives.

The Forum says use of spikes is not only illegal, but socially undesirable & constitutionally impermissible.

This comes after a police officer allegedly threw a spike on a moving vehicle which eventually overturned killing 4 people.

In his message marking May Day, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa declared war on unregistered Kombis.

Police on a blitz targeting unregistered vehicles.
