Zimplats partners CUT to research for alternative uses of slug

Zimplats has engaged the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) to research into alternative uses for the furnace slug piling up at Ngezi & Selous.

For every tonne of matte, there are 13 tonnes of slug produced.

And Zimplats has provided funding & equipment to CUT to help it find sustainable uses for slug.
