Zimbabwean man gunned down by SA border guard at Beitbridge Border Post

According to reports from state media, a Zimbabwean man was fatally shot by a member of the South African Border Guard at the Beitbridge Border Post this morning.

Witnesses claim that the man was shot after confronting the guards who were assaulting an elderly woman who was collecting recyclables.

The incident occurred around 4 am, and although no official comment has been made by South African police, witnesses state that the man’s body was taken to Musina Mortuary around 7 am.

The victim, shot in the head at close range, was reportedly reprimanding the guards for their violent behavior towards the elderly woman.
