Zim Warriors Afcon squad; Pasuwa announces names of final 23 players

Zimbabwe national football team coach Calisto Pasuwa will today announce the final 23 football players who will represent the country at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations(Afcon) in Gabon  starting next week.

Pasuwa is expected to use the bulk of European and South African based players in his final team to represent Zimbabwe.

Five local based soccer players have already been released and three more will be send home today leaving the coach with the needed 23 players.

Zimbabwe’s road to Gabon has been good so far as far as team performance is concerned.

After winning their group the warriors have done well in preparatory matches and they have a match against the lions of Cameroon next week on the tenth before they settle in Gabon for their tasty opener against Algeria on 15 January.

Zimbabwe will also play Tunisia and Senegal in group B.
