Zim divorcee(50) rapes daughter(15) in locked car, bedroom

A disgraced 50 year old Masvingo divorcee will spend the next 30 years a prisoner after he was convicted for raping his teenage daughter.

The magistrate Mr Colet Ncube  deplored the man’s behaviour saying he betrayed the trust that his children had in him by raping an innocent girl who looked up to him for protection.

“You are a disgrace to your family and even society. You deserve a deterrent sentence,” said Mr Ncube.

For the Sate, Mr Tavonga Musina said the divorced man who lived with his three children raped the girl twice.

“Sometime in May the man first raped her in his car while it was locked from inside. On the second count on May 11 the accused raped the accused in his locked bedroom,” said Mr Musina.

The court heard that the matter came to light when the girl went to visit her mother who reported the matter to the police leading the father’s arrest.
