The late Oliver Mtukudzi
The country today celebrates the legacy of late renowned musician and national hero, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi.
He died on 23 January 2019.
Mtukudzi was a prolific musician, putting out over 60 albums in his 45-year career.
His songs were a distinctive blend of Zimbabwean and South African rhythms that were known as “Tuku music.”
Later in his career, Mtukudzi became deeply involved in charity work and also served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Meanwhile, the burial for NAMA Legend Mbuya Stella Chiweshe shall be on Tuesday 24 January 2023 in the afternoon at Nekati Village kwaChief Masembura.
The place is about 40km from Bindura.
Body will leave Harare Monday afternoon from Nyaradzo to lie in state at the homestead.
