The country on Saturday reported it’s highest total of daily infections since October 14 (143) after 115 tested positive and 1 died.
At least 16 people are hospitalised with the respiratory illness.
Meanwhile, the country’s response team is on high alert following the detection of a new variant in South Africa.
The British government has since placed Zimbabwe and other SADC countries on the red list.
