Linda Masarira, a Zimbabwe political activist has been freed on bail, zwnews.com can reveal.
The mother of 4 who has been languishing in remand prison since July 6th this year will be relieved to be out of the leg shekels that have become a symbol of resistance in Zimbabwe.
A Harare court judge, Justice Mangota, found no reason why Linda should not be given bail as she is not a flight risk and there is no solid evidence linking her to the alleged crimes labelled against her by prosecutors.
According to state prosecutors, Masarire was a chief organiser of the deadly shut down protests that rocked Harare in the first week of July this year.
A number of protesters were arrested and freed on bail while Linda remained in custody.
