Zimbabwe celebrating a goal against Germany at Rio Olympics
The match has been evenly balanced, Zimbabwe slightly the better of the two. BUT they lost to the Pharaohs’ superior tactics.
Egypt, who lost their last 5 international games allowed Zimbabwe to attack for the entire match and ventured forward only when necessary.
Mighty Warriors had about 53% ball possession while the Egyptians were happy with 47%.
Zimbabwe raided the Pharaohs half with 26 dangerous attacks while Egypt responded only 19 times.
As it stands, Zimbabwe is currently in third position on the log table. The Egyptians are second.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana are also third following their 1 nil loss to Cameroon in today’s early kick off.
Zimbabwe drew nil all with South Africa when the two neighbours played the second match of the group.

Zimbabwe’s female football team will lock horns with the Pharaohs of Egypt in a tasty encounter later today in Cameroon.
After a nil all draw with South Africa, the Mighty Warriors have to be at their best if they are to get points against the north African side.
Today’s match will be played at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
