The Zimbabwean military has reportedly stated that they will accept the outcome of the July 30 historic election, and will work with the winning candidate to ensure a stable transition.
ZDF spokesperson Colonel Overson Mugwisi said the army’s conduct is guided by the Constitution therefore they will adhere to it.
“The conduct of the ZDF after the election is going to be guided by the Constitution of the land. What the Constitution prescribes is what we are going to follow. We will not prevaricate on that”, Col Mugwisi said. daily news
