Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) spokesperson Jasper Mangwana says the country’s voting processes are water-tight such that it is not possible to rig any election.
“This is how transparent polling processes are in Zimbabwe, where can rigging happen under such standard procedure at all polling stations. Take time to understand the processes,” he says.
Meanwhile, he urged the country’s youths to understand voting procedures.
“Young people must be responsible and be able to engage respectfully on electoral issues. Elections are legal because their conduct is governed by Law and not logic. If you fail to understand the legal provisions, it will be difficult to participate meaningfully,” he adds.
ZEC has over the years been accused of rigging elections in favour of the ruling party, ZANU-PF, the claim the institution vehemently denies.
