The latest government crop report reveals that Zimbabwe will produce 77% less food this year compared to corresponding period in 2023.
Maize will be 72% down and of 60 rural districts, only Goromonzi and Makonde have grown enough food to last 12 months.
Ministry of Lands Fisheries and Rural Development data shows that this has been the worst drought in 40 years.
