Samuel Mumbengegwi Former Minister dies..Photos

Zimbabwe’s former Minister of Finance Samuel Mumbengegwi has died.

Mumbengegwi died today in Harare after a long illness. zwnews.com was told that the late Zanu PF hero was is destined for Heroes Acre burial where he will be buried with another hero Felix Muchemwa who died in Egypt this weekend.

Mumbengegwi had since left government and was now teaching at Great Zimbabwe University in Masvingo.

Dr Mumbengegwi is brother to Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Simbarashe Mumbengegwi.

In 2005, he was appointed Minister of Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment, before being appointed Finance Minister in 2007.

He served in many other  different government departments as a minister.
