Zim Man Arrested Over 15kgs Mbanje Possesion

National police authorities have announced the arrest of a 49-year old Zimbabwean man from Turf, in Mhondoro, who was found in illegal possesion of dagga weighing nearly 15 kilogrammes.

Gift Hlabangani was nabbed by police in Turf on Sunday after he was found with 14.95 kilogrammes of dagga stashed in a bag.

Tweeting, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said:

“On 26/06/22, Police in Turf arrested Gift Hlabangani (49) for illegal possession of 14.95 kilogrammes of dagga which was packed in eight plastic bags and stashed in a bag. #notocrime.”

Meanwhile, the ZRP also said that it is investigating a murder case in which an unknown male adult, approximately 30 years old, was found naked, lying on the ground near Zengeza 3 turn-off last Saturday.

“The victim had bruises on the back and was rushed to Chitungwiza Hospital, where he died upon admission,” said the police.
