Zim Man (33) Who Raped And Killed British Businesswoman Gets Two Life Sentences

A South African High Court judge has slapped a 33-year old Zimbabwean man who raped and killed a British businesswoman with two life sentences.

The Zimbabwean national, Andrea Imbayarwo, reportedly committed the offence in 2014 in Thabazimbi in the Waterberg District.

Imbayarwo was convicted following his appearance at the Limpopo Division High Court this week.

While confirming the development this Thursday, Limpopo police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said:

“The accused, 32-year-old Zimbabwean national, Andrea Imbayarwo was sentenced to two life imprisonment terms for raping and killing Christine Robinson (pictured above), who was the owner of Raditau Lodge in Thabazimbi in the Waterberg District. This horrendous crime was committed during 2014″.

According to Lt Col. Ledwaba, police found Imbayarwo while the knife was still stuck in the late Robinson’s neck.

“The deceased was found in her bedroom on the morning of 30 July 2014 at about 07:30. The police were called and on arrival at the scene, the victim was found with the knife still stuck in her neck. She was certified dead by the paramedics.”

Following intensive investigations, it was discovered that the convicted Zimbabwean murderer had on the same day hired a vehicle to take him to Beitbridge Border Post with the aim of going back to his native country.

He was then arrested on July 30 2020, after police got a tip-off about his whereabouts.

Lt. Col. Ledwaba said further investigations revealed that the woman was also raped and robbed of some valuables.
