Zimbabwe Border Posts Latest News Today, BeitBridge Plumtree, 8 August

We have been getting a lot of messages enquiring about the state of things at Zimbabwe’s Plumtree and Beitbridge border crossings.

There are concerns that the two Zimbabwean borders might have been shut down by strikes and protests.

zwnews.com has been in touch with people at the border posts and there is nothing serious going on as the planned demonstrations and shutdown were postponed due to ongoing negotiations between different parties.

Last week Zimbabwe’s cross border traders issued an ultimatum to the Zimbabwean authorities asking them to reconsider their decision to ban certain goods imported manly from South Africa.

We will be updating this post if there is any news development from the area.
