>> Mugabe remains under house arrest

A number of Zimbabwe government ministers and officials have been arrested by army police among them Ignatius Chombo, Patrick Zhuwao, Patrick Chinamasa, Jonathan Moyo and Augustine Chihuri.

This comes moments after army seized state broadcaster, ZBC and placed President Mugabe and his family under house arrest.

A number of police officers were also arrested and detained see picture below. Zanu PF Youth leader Mr Kudzai Chipanga was also arrested in dawn raids carried by military police.

There are unverified reports that the POLICE Commissioner-General, Augustine Chihuri has been arrested.

This comes after the Zimbabwe military on Wednesday said they were targeting criminals around Mugabe.

Chihuri was notable by his absence on the 13th of November when the armed forces warned Zanu-PF of its shenanigans.

Meanwhile a junior army officer told our reporters that Mugabe agreed to handover power to Emmerson Mnangagwa who arrived in the country this morning from South Africa.
