Warriors fan killed for switching of TV during Zimbabwe Algeria Afcon match

Kwekwe: A Zimbabwe Warriors fan died after he was attacked by Kwekwe based gold miners on Sunday. The incident happened at a local shop where people were watching a Afcon football match between Zimbabwe and Algeria.

According to reports, the unnamed victim was turned into a punching bag by  a violent gang of gold panners who did not approve his decision to switch off the television during the match.

It is suspected that the deceased was not happy with Algeria’s second goal and decided to switch off the TV while others were still watching.

Eye witnesses say the makorokoza went on to hack the unnamed man from Rutendo suburb  as they felt disrespected by the later’s actions.
