ZESA’s Prepaid Electricity System To Go Down For 3 Days

Power utility, ZESA, has called upon members of the public using the prepaid electricity system to ensure that they have sufficient electricity credits in the period between Friday 22 April 2022, and Sunday, 24 April 2022, as the system will go down due to a scheduled maintenance and upgrading exercise that will be taking place.

In a statement published this Wednesday afternoon, the Zimbabwe Electricity and Transmission Distribution Centre (ZETDC) said the three-day maintenance and upgrading exercise is aimed at improving its ‘operational efficiency and quality of service delivery’.

NOTICE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS: NATIONWIDE

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to advise its valued customers countrywide that the Prepaid Electricity Vending system will undergo a scheduled maintenance and upgrading exercise from Friday, 22nd to Sunday, 24th April 2022 to improve its operational efficiency and quality of service delivery.

ZETDC further advises that during that planned maintenance period, customers will NOT be able to purchase electricity units normally, and they are encouraged to buy enough power to sustain them during this planned upgrading period.

The inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.
