The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) chairperson Sydney Gata has written a gloomy letter to Chamber of Mines amid Zimbabwe’s power crisis.
He says the power utility is no longer able to supply power to mining sector or sustain payments for power imports.
Zimbabwe is facing a power crisis and is planning to import 100MW from neighboring Zambia.
Zimbabwe and Zambia share same generation source, Kariba Dam and the latter posted a 1000MW surplus.
