ZESA has announced that load shedding is now back to stage 1 which entails about 8 hours of power cuts.

Zesa Holdings spokesperson, Fullard Gwasira said:

We have reverted back to stage one load shedding. Two units were restored on Sunday while the third unit was restored yesterday (Monday) evening.

Zimbabwe has a huge power deficit which is attributed to shrinking water levels at Kariba dam and ageing equipment at Hwange Thermal Power Station.
