ZERA conducts solar systems design, installation training

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority -ZERA- in conjunction with the Scientific and Industrial Research Development Center has launched solar photovoltaic systems design and installation training.

The program which will be conducted across the country starts on the 6th of November 2023 to the 15th of December 2023.

The training comes at a time the country is struggling to meet its energy demand, amid constant breakdowns due to a number of factors including antiquated equipment.

Apparently, according to energy experts, Zimbabwe has one of the best climates for solar systems.

They believe that if well employed solar energy could help cover the country’s power deficit.

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company, a subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority recently warned of increased power cuts.
