Team Pachedu has made sensational claims that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) is run by the Central Intelligence Organization and the Military Intelligence Department who can intercept every information.
Team Pachedu says:
“Geolocating the ZEC email server shows that this server is housed at Africom in Gunhill, Harare.
“MID/CIO Server Admins at this military-owned company can intercept all ZEC communications.
“This is a dangerous precedent and must be challenged in court.”
Team Pachedu describes itself as a patriotic Zimbabwean citizens who strive to promulgate the culture of transparency, responsibility and accountability without any fear or favour.
The group says judging by how ZEC systems are under the military, it is clear these are the same people who played with the voters roll.
The organization further points out that Major General Sibusiso Moyo was once the Chairperson of Africom’s Board of Directors.
Adding that another previous Africom Board Chairperson was Colonel Chonaka Hlabangane and the list goes on.
“The military runs Africom operations.
So, what is Africom doing at ZEC?” Questions Team Pachedu.
In a thread of tweets, Team Pachedu says:
In 2018, Brigadier Colonel Charles J. Wekwete was the Africom Chair and Mnangagwa appointed him to be the Head of E-GVT in the Office of the President.
In 2020, ED also appointed his wife, Dr. Naomi N. Wekwete, to be the Chairperson of ZIMSTAT.
Rigging is in motion.
The owner of the domain http://zec.org.zw is in fact Africom, not ZEC.
Africom is listed as the REGISTRANT of the domain, when it should be ZEC.
Africom must only be listed as the REGISTRAR and under administrative/technical contacts.
Even though, why Africom?
It is now clear that ZEC does not own the IT systems which run our elections.
These systems are owned and managed by the military through their proxy firm Africom.
Every Zimbabwean must be talking about it as this has implications on the upcoming 2023 elections.
