ZB CEO Ronald Mutandagayi, who was recently caught on camera bashing his wife resigns

Embattled ZB Financial Holdings Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Mutandagayi, has resigned, the bank has announced.

As reported, Mutandagayi’s resignation is effective May 31.

The Bank said its Financial Director Fanuel Kapanje is acting CEO for the time being until a substantive CEO is appointed.

Mutandagayi took ‘leave of absence’ in March after he was caught on camera bashing his estranged wife.

In defence, Mutandagayi said he was only retaliating.

In a statement, issued by the ZB board at the time, said it noted of the social media communication relating to Mutandagayi, which was first published on March 7.

“The matter in question is currently before the courts.

“In the meantime, Mr R Mutandagayi has taken leave of absence from his duties while the board of directors of the group considers appropriate action on the matter,” the board said.

It further pointed out that stakeholders will be advised on any new developments as they arise.
