War vets die in Masvingo road accident

Two ZanuPF and Zimbabwe war veterans died last week in  a road accident near Gutu turn off while traveling along the Mutare Masvingo road.

The details of the crash are still sketchy as police have not yet informed the public about what actually happened.

According to sources close to the development a car carrying the liberation fighters veered off the road and killed one person on the spot while the other deceased person died later at Ndanga hospital.

16 other people were injured and discharged from hospital after seeing a doctor.

The deceased were identified as Panganai Banda and Sarah Muchipi.

It is believed the war vets party was travelling from an explosive meeting in Masvingo were they deliberated on how to manage problems caused by the Grace Mugabe led G40 faction vis a vis the imminent ascendancy of VP Emmeson D Mnangagwa to replace President Robert Mugabe as party leader.
