Dethroned ‘Chief’ Nhlanhlayamangwe Felix Ndiweni says the ruling party ZANU-PF called for sanctions against the country thinking they were being patriotic.
Ndiweni believes the ruling party’s rhetoric and actions attracted the sanctions.
“The ZANU Patriotic Front called for Sanctions against this country.
“Zanu PF called for Sanctions against it’s own country when they did they said they were being patriotic, under the banner Patriotic Front.
“So by ZANU PF’s definition if you call for sanctions you are being Patriotic,” he says.
Apparently, renowned investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono concurs saying by promoting human rights abuse, ZANU PF attracted sanctions against the country.
Referring to the attempted abduction of human rights activist, Makomborero Haruzivishe by suspected state agents, Chin’ono said:
“This kind of behavior is what attracts sanctions against ZANUPF!
ZANUPF attracts all this bad publicity for itself then it blames everyone else!
Change your behavior and everything changes!
What is so difficult in doing things the right way? Tragic!!!”
