Zanu PF fires 19 for attending War Vets meeting & selling out to Mujuru’s ZPF

ZANU-PF’s Bulawayo Province yesterday fired 19 of its members who breached party rules by attending a War Veterans meeting organised by expelled leaders Christopher Mutsvangwa and Jabulani Sibanda.

The leaders were also accused of selling out to the Dr Joice Mujuru’s Zimbabwe People First party.

The suspended include Senator Angeline Masuku, National Consultative Assembly leaders  Molly Mpofu, Fidelia Maphosa, Oppah Ncube and Eliphas Tshuma.

Others were Christopher Sibanda,  Charles Ndlovu, Mlungisi Moyo, and Rejoice Sibanda (Deputy Provincial chairlady Women’s league).

Those fired also included  Rose Kandiero (Secretary for Gender), Kevin Mudzidziwa,(Secretary for Economic Affairs), Miriam Moyo (Secretary for Legal Affairs), Siwinile Ncube (Secretary for Education), Garikai Zonde (Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs Youth League), Victor Mpofu (Secretary for Transport), Caleb Sengu (Deputy Secretary for Education), Douglas Gangaidze, Shorai Sende and Blackwell Bulukutu.

The Bulawayo expulsions come just few days after 9 leaders  were expelled from Midlands Province.

Zanu PF is currently locked in a bitter succession war in which 2 rival factions are going toe to toe in a seemingly endless race to succeed president Mugabe when he finally leaves office.

Mugabe has made it clear that he indents to lead the party until a time when he is openly voted out via Zanu PF boardroom.
