The Zambian Foreign Ministry has written to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat, forwarding a letter from SADC Troika chairperson President Hakainde Hichilema to President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
As reported by a local online publication, The Newshawks, the letter forwarded the final report of the SADC Election Observer Mission to Zimbabwe’s general election.
On the 23rd and 24th August 2023 Zimbabwe held an election which was condemned as having failed to meet the requirements of the country’s constitution, Electoral Act and the SADC Principles and Guidelines Governing Democratic Elections.
