The ruling party through its social media handle ZANU PF Patriots says Citizens Coalition for Change CCC president Nelson Chamisa squandered the opportunity to talk to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The party says now the door is closed and Chamisa should not cry foul.
“Soon after the elections, Cde ED told Chamisa i have an open-door policy, Chamisa refused.
“That door is closed now,” says the party.
Chamisa had said he tried several times to engage Mnangagwa over CCC deputy chairperson Job Sikhala’s unwarranted detention but got no response.
Apparently, soon after the disputed 2018 elections, President Mnangagwa created a dialogue platform called Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD).
Other small opposition parties joined it, but Chamisa refused to join the grouping arguing he won the ‘rigged’ 2018 presidential election.
He demanded President Mnangagwa to confess that he stole the election.
