Xmas car robbers injured in firefight with Zim police

ZRP Southlea Park have arrested Peter Mukuze (24) and Ephraim Chinhuwo for theft. The 2 suspects were observed by police officers on patrol disembarking from their Nissan Caravan Registration number AEG 0759 near Mbudzi roundabout and jumping into a Toyota Hilux which had slowed down to negotiate through the humps in that part of the road.

On noticing that the police were on their trail the accused persons returned to their vehicle and sped off ignoring police instructions to stop. The suspects were eventually arrested at Gazaland shops after a shoot out and a satchel with clothes, 3 knives, a hammer, 2 metal roads and catapults were recovered in the Nissan Caravan vehicle.

The clothes were positively identified by the complainant who reported a case of theft at ZRP Southlea Park.

The injured suspects are receiving treatment at a local hospital awaiting their day in court to answer for their conduct.
