Woman Burns Hubby for Posting Girlfriend’s Pic on WhatsApp

A man from Budiriro suburb in Harare will regret the day he decided to post a girlfriend’s picture on WhatsApp status after his wife decided to scald him with boiling water for that action.

According to media reports, the man is now battling for dear life in an intensive care unit at a medical facility in the capital city.

Nomatter Chipoyera, the man’s wife, appeared before Harare magistrate Taurai Manuwere, who remanded her in custody.

Prosecuting, Godswish Dzivakwi said on Saturday 08 October, 2022, at around 9pm, Chipoyera (pictured above) had a misunderstanding with her husband on issues centered around alleged infidelity.

The court also heard that, this was after the accused’s husband had posted the picture of his girlfriend on WhatsApp.

Chipoyera allegedly picked up a stone and hit her husband once on the left side of his head, the state media reported.

Reports say the accused person was restrained by other tenants from further assaulting her husband. After the attack, the duo then retired to bed.

Allegations are that in the early hours of Sunday, at around 1am, Chipoyera poured hot water all over her husband’s body, while he was sleeping. The husband, who sustained third degree burns, then filed a police report in Budiriro before he was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he is currently admitted in the ICU.
