LATEST NEWS;Lumumba disappears, Abducted by police, CIO?

Where is Lumumba?

Zimbabwe police have launched a manhunt for Acie Lumumba after he appeared on video tape insulting President Robert Mugabe.

Under Zimbabwean laws, it is a criminal offence to insult or publicly mock President Mugabe.

Lumumba’s family members fear that he might have been abducted by the same team of police and CIOs responsible for the disappearance of Itai Dzamara.

A close family friend told zwnews.com that there is no need for Zimbabwe police to look out for the president of Viva Zimbabwe when they know his whereabouts.

Police yesterday confirmed the former Zanu PF politician who abandoned the party after making many damning allegations against its officials, could not be found.

Police spokesperson Charity Charamba told The Standard yesterday that police had launched a manhunt for Lumumba whom they believed had gone into hiding following his unprintable insult of Mugabe.
