The Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) says it did not receive a CV from Robert Mugabe Jnr expressing his intentions for a leadership position in the party.
The ruling party says progress has been made thus far by the Youth League with regards to the elective conference preparations and dispelled rumours and speculative stories to say certain people have submitted CV to contest.
ZANU-PF was referring to reports that recently made headlines alleging that the late former President Robert Mugabe’s son had applied to contest for a leadership role in the party.
The party encourages the media to consult before publishing what it termed fake stories.
Speaking during a press briefing, yesterday ruling party senior official, Christopher Mustvangwa said President Emmerson Mnangagwa has warned against vote rigging during elections.
“H E sent a warning for people to follow the Party constitution and no unfairness or manipulations of elections will be accepted.
“We do things in an open manner. Not like other parties who have no constitution or policies or democracy,” he said.
