Controversial cleric, Passion Java’s honeymoon with Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his ruling Zanu PF has apparently got the man-of -the-cloth many enemies than friends after students at Africa University in Mutare chased him away.
Java was in the company of Robert Mugabe Junior- son to the late dictator who also goes by the same name.
The pair is understood to be working on a campaign to drum up support for Mnangagwa and Zanu PF in the next harmonised elections to be held in 2023.
In the run-up to the recent by-elections held on the 26th of March, 2022, Java and Robert Junior regularly featured at political rallies addressed by Mnangagwa.
Irate internet users who include rabble-rousing Zimbabwean journalist-cum-activist, Hopewell Chin’ono described the flamboyant prophet as ‘fake’.
Watch video below
Chinóno said in a tweet:
“The moment the FAKE prophet was humbled by Africa University students & the university’s no-nonsense security team The clown is used to hungry youths in townships that run after him The AU students know that unemployment authored by Java’s party awaits them, they are not stupid”.
