Warriors Afcon Group Latest: Algeria fire 5 past Zambia..Bafana stumble in Ghana

A 5 Star performance by defending champions Algeria who are in same group with Zimbabwe and Botswana saw them thrashing 2012 champions Zambia 5-0 in the opening Group H game of the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers played in Algeria, yesterday evening.

The desert foxes opened the scoreline just before half time and went on to demolish the exhausted Chipolopolo with 4 more goals towards the end of the match. Their goals came from Bounedjah x2, Bensebaini, Belaili and Soudani.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Warriors are aiming for maximum points when they host the Zebras of Botswana at 6 PM CAT in Harare today.

The Warriors will then fly to Lusaka to play Zambia on Tuesday evening while Botswana will be hosting Algeria on Monday.
