Former member of parliament and liberation war veteran Vivian Mwashita has died.
Mwashita (58) died due to medical complications caused by stroke while at Parirenyatwa hospital in Harare on friday.
She was thrown into limelight in 1995 when she lost a Harare parliamentary seat to Magaret Dongo who stood as an independent after being expelled from Zanu PF.
Here polical life took a turn for the worst when she went on to loose to opposition candidates in later years only reappearing later as a senator.
She is survived by her husband Peter Muchicho, three children and six grandchildren.
Mourners are gathered at House Number 17654 new Cranborne in Harare.
