UPDATE: National hero Father Ribeiro’s burial

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is today expected to preside over the burial of national hero, Father Emmanuel Ribeiro at the National Heroes Acre in the capital.

Meanwhile, right now action is at the St Marys Queen of Peace Parish of the Archdiocese of Harare in Old Highfield, where a mass is being held in honour of national hero.

Father Ribeiro will be interred at the national shrine after the Roman Catholic Archdiocese leadership and his family agreed to a request by government to have him buried there.
Catholics had initially wanted bury him at their own “heroes site” in Chishawasha, but finally agreed to the government’s request.
