Todler dies as maid(16) serves 3 children from house inferno

A 16 year old house maid saved the lives of three children after a fire  broke out in Redcliff, Kwekwe.

The fire also claimed the life of the fourth child who died after succumbing to severe burns.

A brave act by a 16 year old girl who managed to save the lives of all the four children aged six, eight and a set of twins aged two, ended ill-fated after one of the twins died on her way to Parirenyatwa hospital in Harare following severe burns.

Regardless, Sofia Sigodho of Mateta village, Gokwe emerged the hero of this heart rendering story after she braved the inferno and risked her life to save the children who were crying trapped inside the burning house.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established but eye witnesses allege that the fire started from a ZESA main line outside.
