During Real Mallorca’s Sunday La Liga match against Real Sociedad, Tinotenda Kadewere suffered a heatstroke.
The Zimbabwean striker played the entire first half but was subbed off at half time and stayed in the locker room.
Later on, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre explained at a press conference that he had planned to give Kadewere more minutes but had to replace him due to the heat stroke, which caused vomiting during half time.
The temperatures were just over 20°C during the game in Mallorca, which was a big difference compared to the cold days recorded over the past week.
