The Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board TIMB has extended the 2022 deadline for destruction of tobacco stalks to 25 May.
“All tobacco growers are notified that the 2022 deadline for destruction of tobacco stalks has been extended to 25 May,” says TIMB urging farmers to comply.
Farmers expected to destroy tobacco stalks in the fields before May 15 every year, while all tobacco seeds may not be sown before the 1st of June every year and seedlings may not be planted out in the field before the 1st of September every year.
