Shumba banned from using UK female toilets after being caught with 400 upskirt pictures

Following his conviction for breaching a court order, a man known for taking inappropriate pictures of women in McDonald’s and Walkabout bar restrooms has been banned from using any McDonald’s toilets in the UK.

Asere Shumba’s picture has been distributed to restaurant workers to help them identify him if he attempts to use their facilities.

Shumba was caught by a staff member at a Derby fast-food outlet last December, and his previous offenses led to his arrest and conviction.

On two prior occasions, Shumba had taken pictures of women in the restrooms of the Sinfin McDonald’s branch and the former Walkabout bar in the Market Place.

In June 2021, Shumba was convicted of voyeurism after being caught taking pictures of a woman in a cubicle adjacent to his own.

He was later caught with almost 400 upskirt-style photographs on his phone.

Shumba was sentenced to 20 weeks in jail, and the judge warned him that any future arrests in similar circumstances would result in his immediate return to custody.
