Latest Today: Shingi Kawondera not dead, He is alive

Shingi Kawondera has just sent a whatsapp message telling people that he is alive and well.

This came after we received messages in the morning suggesting that Kawaondera was dead.

The former DT and Zimbabwe warriors player spent 13 years playing football in Europe before returning home a broke and penniless man.

In a 2012 interview, Kawondera admitted that he had nothing to show for nearly 14 seasons in Europe and had fathered three kids with three different women.

Shingi was detained in a Harare hospital last year due to mental health issues.
