President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa yesterday officiated at the 7th ZANU PF Elective Youths Congress which was attended by other regional liberation parties in solidarity.
Meanwhile, also present, virtually were the Russian youths. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information Nick Mangwana confirmed the attendance.
Zimbabwe and Russia enjoy cordial relations dating back to the Southern African country’s liberation struggle.
Apparently, the Russian Embassy invited Zimbabweans to join it celebrate victory day.
“Dear friends: “We invite you to celebrate with us the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic war.
“We offer you free screenings of t– “The Last Frontier”, “Saving Leningrad”, “Rzhev”.
“All films will be at the Diamond Hall of the University of Zimbabwe from 01.00 p.m. on May 10-12,” says the Russian Embassy.
