Marriages wrecked as Harare men fall for a single mum’s cake

A single mum from Glen View, Harare, has become an eyesore to local women  for using whatsapp groups and her home baked cakes to  steal their husbands.

50-year-old  Roda Wandigwa, popularly known in ladies whatsapp groups for selling sweet cakes is alleged to have wrecked two marriages using her cakes believed to be laced with love potions.

Roda is an active member of “Mugariro wemudzimai”, “Kugeza nekunaka”, “Sweet ladies” , “Married life”,  Big vs Small House’ whatsapp groups.

The first victim of her bedroom invasions is Mai Precious who told reporters that Roda’s cakes are laced with love potions and she makes sure she attends functions, ending up falling in love with married men. I am Roda’s victim she is after married men, she is a marriage wrecker to say the least and her cakes are laced with love potions,” said Mai Precious.

“As women, we share our talents, knowledge and we are benefiting much from these discussions on whatsapp groups but Roda has evil intentions and she lies that she is married. She sold me a cake for my husband’s surprise party and asked me if I was comfortable in letting her attend the party unaware she had other intentions. I later discovered she took my husband’s contact number during the party and she brought another cake as her present and this cake I suspect was laced with love potions because everyone who ate it ended up behaving strangely. After sharing my problem with Roda on our whatsapp group I discovered she had done it to another married woman and we agreed to remove her from the group.

“We are no longer interested in buying her cakes she is using them to lure married men and on her profile she advertises the cakes saying she makes all cakes for any occasion, she might be using the youths as well,”said Mai Precious.

Another victim who refused to identify herself to protect her marriage showed reporters the love messages between Roda and one of her victims.

I want to believe hookers have joined the groups and share bad advice to married women,” said the victim. Some of the members posts messages like ‘ukaona murume wako asingakugutsi musiye hazvinei kuti mave nemakore kadii mese’ and this must have been posted by single ladies I believe

Roda is a marriage wrecker if i happen to meet her at any one of my relatives parties, she will return all the money paid to her and i urge women not to invite her to their parties nekuti zvakaitika paGlen Norah apa vakadzi vevanhu kubvisa hembe vadya cake ra Roda.,” she said.

Contacted for comment, Roda told reporters that she is actively dating, I will have better boyfriends than their husbands,” said Roda confirming that she is not married.
