The Zimbabwe Republic Police in Harare are hunting down armed robbery suspects who dumped a getaway car, a South African-registered VW Polo (reg: FJ03FM GP), at a house in Norton following a deadly shootout with detectives.
Meluleki Makhalima was shot dead and four other robbers arrested.
After the shootout near a service station close to the Harare Showgrounds, two suspects, a man and a woman drove to Norton and asked to leave the car at a house, claiming it had developed a fault.
Police have since retrieved various items from the car including a passport.
