President Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged Zimbabweans in other countries to remain resolute even when treated badly.
Addressing the main Independence celebrations in Bulawayo yesterday, Mnangagwa said:
“I urge our citizens in the Diaspora to remain resolute, in spite of the many challenging circumstances they may face in their host countries.”
Meanwhile, many Zimbabweans left the country at the turn of the millennium in search for greener pastures.
This was caused by the failing local economy.
Apparently, some Zimbabweans are being ill-treated in foreign lands.
Others have even been killed especially in South Africa during xenophobic attacks.
They have been accused of taking jobs away from natives and of engaging in criminal activities.
